Name: Water Resistive Barriers
Date: January 21, 2016
Time: 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM EST
Event Description:
All siding installations leak, so contractors need a properly detailed and flashed weather resistive barrier (WRB) to keep water out of the house. Michael R. Guertin of Michael R. Guertin Inc. will point out common problem areas to pay extra attention to, and show you how to flash doors and windows to comply with the building code. Learn whether or not rigid exterior insulation foam can be used as a WRB and how flashing details change when it is. This course is eligible for continuing education units (CEUs) as required by the Rhode Island Contractors' Registration and Licensing Board.
